DRI releases first Sustainability in Action review for 2024, reaffirming its commitment to responsible growth
2024 review outlines progress on sustainability, local impact, and clean energy development across Europe.

DRI has published its first Sustainability in Action review, providing an overview of how the company is embedding sustainability across its renewable energy operations in Europe.

The 2024 Sustainability in Action highlights DRI’s journey to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices into its business — from biodiversity protection to health and safety standards and community engagement initiatives. “Accelerating the energy transition in a responsible, open and thoughtful way – this is what our vision of sustainability is all about,” said Ivan Geliuk, DRI CEO. He emphasised the importance of remaining fully committed to advancing the global shift towards clean, renewable energy: “The work we are doing today will help build a cleaner, more sustainable world for generations to come.”

With active projects across Croatia, Italy, Poland and Romania, DRI continues to grow its presence in strategic markets. In 2024, the company reached several key business milestones: the Ruginoasa wind farm (60MW) and the Glodeni II solar park (60MWp) became operational in Romania, marking a significant step forward in the country’s clean energy landscape; in Poland, the large-scale battery storage project in Trzebinia (133 MW, 4 hours / 532 MWh) advanced into late-stage development; in Italy, DRI strengthened its footprint with the acquisition of four solar projects totalling 166MWp in Sardinia; and in Croatia, the company acquired its third renewable project—the 120MW Ljubovo wind farm in Lika-Senj County, Central Croatia.

As DRI continues to evolve, the company is laying the foundation for a long-term sustainability framework that supports both business growth and social value. “As a company rooted in renewable energy, sustainability is part of our DNA. But as we grow and evolve, we are committed to embedding sustainability in every single aspect of our operations” added the CEO.
