The Trzebinia Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Myślachowice has been featured in two regional media outlets, Przełom and KCH24.info. Both articles describe the project as an important step for Poland’s energy transition and highlight how the installation will strengthen the stability and resilience of the national electricity system.

In an interview published by KCH24.info, Jan Michałowski, DRI’s Country Manager for Poland, explains that the Trzebinia BESS will be one of the largest battery storage facilities in the country and will play a key role in ensuring grid reliability. The system will store electricity and release it within milliseconds when demand increases or when temporary shortages occur, helping to prevent interruptions and supporting critical infrastructure.

Both outlets also emphasize the modern and environmentally safe nature of the technology selected by DRI. The installation will use Fluence’s Smartstack™ system, an advanced battery technology already operating worldwide and compliant with strict international standards for fire, electrical, and cybersecurity. The articles describe the facility as clean and quiet, producing no smoke, fumes, harmful emissions or noticeable noise thanks to passive cooling and insulated equipment.

The project fits safely into its surroundings and the system operates as a closed installation with continuous monitoring and automatic protective mechanisms. Electromagnetic fields generated during operation remain far below national and international safety limits, ensuring no impact on health or daily life.

Together, the two publications offer clear and factual explanations of how the Trzebinia BESS will support Poland’s long-term energy security while ensuring high environmental and safety standards.
