Poland
Poland is one of DRI’s four main priority markets.
DRI has secured the rights to develop Poland’s first large-scale battery storage project in Chrzanów. Pending permitting approvals, construction of the 133MW battery storage facility is set to begin in early 2026, with operations slated to commence in early 2027. This landmark agreement marks DRI’s inaugural project in Poland, making us one of the first companies developing this technology at scale in the country.

Accelerating decarbonisation
As a key component in accelerating decarbonization efforts, battery storage is a crucial technology in adopting renewable energy sources while upholding system flexibility. Amidst Poland’s transition from traditional energy sources to a renewable-centric landscape, battery storage is well-positioned to help ensure the grid’s operability, provide the system with firm capacity and complement the intermittent nature of renewable energy.
